The main responsibilities of SMEET Health and Safety committee are:
- To develop and maintain the H&S time line (action plan);
- To lead the accident investigations and reporting as well as upgrade the required precautionary measures.
- To monitor the accident and claims statistics;
- To maintain Action Tracking Plans used by each department as a management tool;
- To review the agreed procedures related to H&S performance review process;
- To circulate information relating to accidents and incidents, so as to assist in preventing recurrence
- To benchmark against the Best-in-class to improve our own performance.
- Disseminate relevant information on health and safety topics to all businesses;
- Undertake any other necessary actions as requested from time to time by the Board of Directors
- To develop a training skills matrix to identify and set out the required H&S training needs. Training will be primarily provided by the H&S Coordinator or by other training resources as may be required.
